New in #1
In my previous I talked about I was going to spend a night in a hotel with some of my girlfriends but what I did not mention is that we would be doing some shopping before we headed there. I feel like I was pretty reasonable, even though I did not exactly most of the items I got, as I managed to fit everything in the one picture.
The main part of the shopping happen in Primark. Almost every time I am in Primark I have to pick up something Harry Potter related (obviously I don't really have to, no one was forcing me but you know what I mean). This time I bought not one, not two but three items! I got a cropped hoodie that reads "Hogwarts Alumni", a pack of 3 pairs of socks themed around Dobby the El and some pyjamas - I was originally looking for a set of pyjamas that would be some shorts and a short sleeves shirt and when I saw they were doing a Slytherin one I did not think twice.
As you might have guessed from the recent two posts where I mentioned straw bags, I have a bit of an obsession at the moment. That's why when I saw this rounded number for only £8, I could not resist. I am unsure whether or not I will keep the tassels on there, I need to check whether I could remove them but still be able to put them back on if I wanted to. The only other piece of clothing that I got were some sandals - the weather is not quite good enough for me to be able to wear them just yet but hopefully that will change soon.
I also got some makeup / body care bits and bobs. I picked up an eyeshadow palette from Primark, which has got some very nice blue and green panes. I also got, from Kiko Milano this time, a highlighter as well as a base mascara. I never used one of those so I thought I would give it a try since it was over 50% off. I got a sock mask which is supposed to exfoliate the dry skin off your feet. This might a total gimmick but I was curious to try it. Same goes for the eye mask, it looks a bit weird but you put it in the fridge and then on your eyes and the cold should help to depuff your eyes in the morning. Keeping on with the weird accessories, I bought myself a massager that is supposed to help with getting rid of cellulite. Then, probably the only really useful purchase of the day: some plasters. They are DC comics themed so not the most adult looking plasters but does it matter?
Finally we popped into The Works as they were having a clearance sale. I picked up the complete series of The Mortal Instruments for only £12! The bottom of the boxset says it originally retailed at £84.99 so this was an absolute bargain. My friend Angélique had been recommending the book series to me and we usually have similar taste so I thought this would be the perfect occasion to add even more books to my to-read pile. I was very proud of myself for not picking up any notebooks as this is one of my obsessions - it is the little victories in life that counts (or so I tell myself!).
